Horizontal Casting Machines

CCMCO’s horizontal centrifugal casting machines are used to cast ferrous and non-ferrous castings that are longer in length than they are wide in diameter. Horizontal centrifugal casting machines are equipped standard with water cooling and variable speed drives. Horizontal machines are available in a wide variety of sizes and configurations that are well suited to a diverse range of applications.

Trunnion Type Machines

Trunnion type machines are associated with tubular shaped parts. Typically, castings produced on a trunnion type machine have a long length to diameter ratio. Trunnion type machines use a mold or flask that is supported and rotated by four trunnion wheels. The maximum diameter and lengths for each machine are a function of the total weight capacity of the machine. Let CCMCO determine which of our trunnion type models will work best for your application.

Common castings produced on trunnion type machines include bushings, bearings, cylinder liners, piston rings, pipe, steel tubes and sleeves, pump liners, and hollow extrusion blanks.

Dual Faceplate Machines

Dual faceplate machines used for producing sleeves, tubes or liners offer an economical mid-production solution to customers. These machines can be manual in setup with a dedicated machine operator performing all operations, or automatic, where one operator utilizes the human machine interface (HMI) to control the machine’s operations. RC Spindle Type Machines

CCMCO Model RC Ferris Wheel Type Liner Machines are for high production output of cylinder liners, piston rings, or other sleeve type castings. This style of machine can achieve up to 100 castings per hour. The Model RC machine available in a 3 or 8 station configuration.

This style machine is operating in some premier liner productions facilities worldwide and is considered by some to be the best investment for the production rate that can be achieved. These type of machines offer, among other benefits, a smaller footprint when compared to other cylinder liner solutions.

Single Faceplate Machines

Single Faceplate Machines

The single faceplate machine is also known as a cantilever style machine, and presents an overhanging load to the machine. Faceplate machines are one solution for the production of large diameter but short length castings. This style of machine can be supplied with a chucking mechanism that holds the part to a specific level of concentricity to prevent runout.

This style machine is commonly used to line brake drums with steel.
